How many years do the children spend on the street?
- 37% of the street children of 1 to 6 years
- 44% of the street children of 7 to 9 years
- 14% of the street children of 10 to 12 years
- 6% of the street children longer than 12 years
The age of the street children
- 7% are between 0 and 5 years old
- 65% are between 5 and 10 years old
- 24% are between 10 and 15 years old
- 4% are older than 15 years
Health Situation
The health of 60% of the children can be considered to be bad, with long-term chronic diseases such as diarrhoea, infections of the respiratory system, dysentery and tuberculosis. The condition of the remaining 40% is not too good, with health problems that recur from time to time. Only 9% receive any form of van medical care. 100% of the street children are exposed to serious air pollution, 88% have no access to sanitary provisions.
